Centre Wellington Pride envisions a thriving, inclusive community where 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies are empowered to live authentically, celebrated for their diversity, and supported in every facet of life. Inspired by our motto of “Stronger Together”, our vision is to nurture a strong, visible, and resilient local Pride movement that builds meaningful connections, fosters understanding, and uplifts every member of our community through year-round engagement, education, and celebration.

We believe that Pride is more than an event—it is a commitment to belonging. Through intentional programming, partnerships, and advocacy, Centre Wellington Pride seeks to create spaces where 2SLGBTQIA+ residents can gather safely, share their stories, and contribute their voices to the cultural and civic life of our region. By amplifying local experiences, we aim to foster empathy, reduce barriers, and cultivate lasting change across generations.

Our work is grounded in the principles of equity, respect, and collaboration. We are committed to engaging with community members, schools, businesses, and municipal partners to ensure that the values of inclusion and diversity are embedded within the heart of Centre Wellington. We recognize that achieving equity requires sustained effort and accountability, and we approach this responsibility with humility, transparency, and care.

Through education and celebration, Centre Wellington Pride will empower individuals to see themselves reflected in their community and inspire others to stand alongside them. Our initiatives will highlight local 2SLGBTQIA+ artists, leaders, and youth, celebrate the achievements of queer residents, and provide supportive opportunities for learning and dialogue. We seek to bridge generations and experiences—creating a community that honours both the struggles and triumphs that have shaped the 2SLGBTQIA+ journey.

Our vision is a Centre Wellington where diversity is not simply accepted but embraced as a source of strength and creativity. We aspire to help our region grow into a model of rural inclusion, where every person—regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or expression—can thrive with dignity, connection, and pride.

Together, we will build a future defined by compassion, visibility, and joy: a community where everyone belongs, and where Pride lives every day—not just in a single moment of celebration, but in the everyday kindness, courage, and solidarity we share.
