OUT LOUD: Art Your Way

Out Loud: Art Your Way is a free six-week art program created by Centre Wellington Pride for 2SLGBTQIA+ children and allies ages 8–13. It is a welcoming space where young people can explore their creativity, try new art techniques, and express themselves in their own unique way.

Each week, participants will experiment with a different art medium and project. From painting and drawing to air-dry clay and creating their own playing cards, there will be lots of opportunities to get creative, try something new, and have fun.

What we’ll explore

Over the six weeks, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • 🎨 Create Your Own Pet – Explore drawing, painting, markers, and other materials to design a unique pet.
  • 🧑‍🎨 Air-Dry Clay – Learn how to work with clay and create your own character.
  • 🌈 Pride Landscapes – Create colourful acrylic paintings inspired by nature, creativity, and Pride.
  • ✏️ Anime Drawing – Come learn how to create an anime character, be creative, and draw or paint in your own style.
  • Magnets – Design and create your own fun, personalized magnets.
  • 🃏 Playing Cards – Make a set of creative cards that are uniquely yours.

But this program is about more than making art. It’s about creating a space where young people can be themselves, explore their ideas, build confidence, and connect with others.

There is no right or wrong way to create. Whether you love to draw, paint, sculpt, experiment, or simply want to try something new, Art Your Way is a place to explore your creativity and let your imagination lead the way.

A space to create, connect and be yourself

At CW Pride, we believe young people deserve spaces where they feel welcomed, respected, and included. Out Loud: Art Your Way provides an opportunity for young people in our community to come together, make something wonderful, and celebrate the many different ways we can express ourselves.

Come create with us. Be yourself. Make art your way!
